Why Home Base Business

To gain personal freedom.
The most enticing aspect of starting a home-based business is the opportunity it provides to gain control over your own life. As a home business entrepreneur, you can shape your work life depending on your goals and environment. There are no bosses to follow, no corporate culture to abide by, and no rigid work schedules nor time clocks. Instead, you have the freedom to work and earn as you choose, in the comfort and convenience of your own homes. Of course, having all the time and freedom to work as you please also has its drawback. Thus, a home business entrepreneur needs to have good time management skills and discipline to push yourself to work.
Home Based Business is one of the few legal tax shelters left

Sandy Botkin: First of all, understand something: We have two tax systems in this country. [Many] times people think there's one for rich and one for poor. That is a huge myth. What the systems are is one for employees--people who don't know the rules, which are designed to take your wealth--and one for self-employed people, [the rules of] which are designed to create economic growth. The reason for that is, small business generates over 70 percent of the jobs in this country. So Congress passes good tax laws. And there are good tax laws--let me emphasize this--for small business. Let's say your business generates a loss. If that loss exceeds the income from that business, you can use that loss against any form of income you have: interest, dividends, rents, wages, pensions, anything. Say you make $50,000 in salary and you have a small business that creates a $10,000 loss. You only pay tax on $40,000. Let's say the loss exceeds your whole income. You can carry back all business losses in 2002 five years and actually get a refund from the last five years' federal and state income tax you paid. In 2003, by the way, that number is going down to two years. Or you can carry forward all business losses 20 years and offset the next 20 years of earning. So you never lose a properly documented business deduction.

The Harvest is Plenty

With a strong marriage, healthy children and solid careers drawing six-figure incomes, life seemed good for high school sweethearts James and Marcia Prewitt. The couple thought so, too, as they enjoyed a relatively contented ride along life’s path. Everything changed, however, once they had children. “After all the years we were married and waited to have a family, things weren’t going the way we had always envisioned, now that we had one,” James says. “We were always at work. Our kids were the first ones dropped off and the last ones picked up each day."Struggling to fi nd time to spend with one another, this spiritual pair began to pray and asked God to bring something into their lives that would give them the freedom to build a life more conducive to quality family time. They read Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, which opened their minds to concepts important to their current journey. “Theauthor talks about leverage—doing less and earning more,” explains James. “It defined being rich as when your passive income—the income received from not working your job—is more than it costs you to live. We were receiving large incomes, but it came from going to work every day. It seemed we were in the wrong boat going downthe wrong stream.”James was a corporate finance director and Marcia, a certified public accountant, was a vice president at a Fortune 500 firm. It occurred to the Prewitt's that the harder they worked, the less time they had to spend with their children. “We were both good at our jobs and that’s the direction we were headed; we started to look at other avenues,” James says.
Leaving the Corporate Comfort Zone
James and Marcia have been looking for a more "excellent way." They view YTB as an opportunity to live life in accordance with their priorities of God, family and career. Originally from Detroit, MI, they have been married for 20 happy years, have a son and a daughter, ages 7 and 8, and reside in Dallas, TX. Both James and Marcia have advanced business degrees and have experienced success in corporate America. This is their first real MLM endeavor. Aside from their love to travel, they chose YTB because they could come aboard on the ground floor, be ahead of a trend and achieve massive income, while pursuing their passion to enrich the lives of others.
Their team has really been able to build something special. There are so many who are instrumental in their success. James and Marcia stated that, "if we can help enough people reach their goals then we will certainly gain all that our hearts desire."
There was an interesting story that developed in the past few weeks. James was out and about his business when he was pulled over for speeding. When he went to settle the matter in court, the judge asked him to approach the bench. He asked James what he did for a living and he told him that he "teaches people how to travel wholesale instead of retail." "HOW DO YOU TRAVEL?" There was a long pause and James added, "What most people do is search all over the Internet on one of those online travel agencies for the
best retail deal. I teach people how to travel for wholesale on their own online travel agency." The judge said that it sounded interesting and James asked him if he wanted to learn more. The judge said yes and asked James if he was available for lunch the next day!!! Immediately the judge signed up and to date they have already helped 4 judges (and counting) travel at wholesale instead of retail.
