Why I Bought My YTB Business

I loath working, this may sound unconstructive but it is true. I don’t like the gruesome task of getting up at 6am every morning to go off to a job. Most days I am there way over 40 hours for the week.
I have two children; I don’t have the energy to appreciate at the end of the day. My favorite part of it all is that I survive pay check to pay check.
I know there must be something more; I wanted to leave some kind of security for my children and working for another thirty years at the same career will maybe provide me the a “pen”.
I hear about YTB Network form a pastor and I researched and read everything that I could fine on the company.
After learning that YTB is government regulated, sold on the stock market and offers residuals as part of there compensation plan I decided to go into partnership with them.
It has been four months and I am overwhelmed with excitement about joining YTB.
This company will provide me everything that I am looking for and extra over the next two years.

YTB Travel is built around the Internet, which is the fastest growing technology in the world. Booking travel online is the most successful niche of all the world’s Internet e-commerce efforts. Over 80 million Americans booked travel online last year, and that number is estimated to double over the next 3 years.

Make commissions by helping others save money on their travel

As you refer others who book travel through your booking site, you will earn 60% of the total commission paid to YTB on all their travel arrangements. This can often include room service charges, entertainment fees, or even the fees for the resort spa.
You are providing your consumers a great service. The people that you know and refer will find low prices and some of the best deals through your site. And, when you help people save money, guess what? They will come back again and again. They will also start sending others to purchase their travel needs from you as well. This allows your business to keep growing and growing.Think about it... Even if the prices were the exact same, the accomodations the same, the trip the same, where are your friends and family going to book their travel when they find out you are a travel professional? Would they really go do it through a faceless, cold, impersonal site where they don't even know the owner? Or would they book through you?

Inspired by YTB’s Oldest Directors

Dave & Mickey Rawls, Texas
When Dave and I looked at YTB three years ago, I knew we were going to be in the travel business. I had been praying for a "real" company with a "fun" product that I could get excited about. It was the right company, the right product and the timing was absolutely perfect.
Like so many people, we were more than concerned about what we were going to do about our retirement. The opportunities for seniors are limited, to say the least. We made a commitment to YTB on day one and vowed we would do whatever needed to be done to make this business happen. My motivation was to take this company to the masses of people unprepared for retirement.
I am quite sure Dave and I hold the distinction of being the oldest directors. We are proof that you don't need to be young or computer-literate to become successful in this business. You just need the vision, the heart and the right company-and a great team!

News - Who Do We Feed?

Greetings Champions,
I address you as Champions. Yes, Champions. You do realize that You are a Champion. There is a coward inside of all of us however, there is a Champion, a Leader inside of all of us as well. The question is, who are you feeding?
Who do you see when you look in the mirror? Is it the coward or the Champion? The coward will reason or rationalize with you to accept defeat long before defeat is here. The coward will tell you to just give up and NOT try, that you never should have even thought that you could Win. The Champion inside of you tells you to go on. Push ahead, even when you clearly cannot see how you are going to achieve your goal. The Champion inside of you tells you that if anyone can do it, You Can. Do it, Go. Do it, Go. Go on and be Great.
Who do you feed, who do you give nourishment? Who do you want to see when you look in the mirror? I believe it was Maya Angelo who said, as we travel down the highway of life on our journey to WHO we choose to become, many people just pull over and park. Park on the shoulder of the highway of life, and don't even turn on the emergency lights: they don't want to cause attention to themselves. You see if the flashers were on then perhaps someone would stop and offer assistance. “Hey do you need some help? I believe there is a service station ahead, do you need a jump?" The flashers are not on because many people have pulled over on their way to fulfill their destiny, and don't even know it. They are just sitting there, afraid. Wanting no help . . . just sitting there. Parked.
Feed the Champion inside of you. What do Champions eat? They eat encouragement, the word of GOD; they read and listen to tapes instead of watching TV. Choose your destiny!! If you are Parked, get back on the highway and put it in gear. Do not let the Coward tell you to get started next week, next month, or next. . . Feed the Champion inside of you. The Abundant life awaits you and your family for generations to come.
The Harvest is Plenty. . . James Prewitt

Why Home Base Business

To gain personal freedom.

The most enticing aspect of starting a home-based business is the opportunity it provides to gain control over your own life. As a home business entrepreneur, you can shape your work life depending on your goals and environment. There are no bosses to follow, no corporate culture to abide by, and no rigid work schedules nor time clocks. Instead, you have the freedom to work and earn as you choose, in the comfort and convenience of your own homes. Of course, having all the time and freedom to work as you please also has its drawback. Thus, a home business entrepreneur needs to have good time management skills and discipline to push yourself to work.

Home Based Business is one of the few legal tax shelters left

Sandy Botkin: First of all, understand something: We have two tax systems in this country. [Many] times people think there's one for rich and one for poor. That is a huge myth. What the systems are is one for employees--people who don't know the rules, which are designed to take your wealth--and one for self-employed people, [the rules of] which are designed to create economic growth. The reason for that is, small business generates over 70 percent of the jobs in this country. So Congress passes good tax laws. And there are good tax laws--let me emphasize this--for small business. Let's say your business generates a loss. If that loss exceeds the income from that business, you can use that loss against any form of income you have: interest, dividends, rents, wages, pensions, anything. Say you make $50,000 in salary and you have a small business that creates a $10,000 loss. You only pay tax on $40,000. Let's say the loss exceeds your whole income. You can carry back all business losses in 2002 five years and actually get a refund from the last five years' federal and state income tax you paid. In 2003, by the way, that number is going down to two years. Or you can carry forward all business losses 20 years and offset the next 20 years of earning. So you never lose a properly documented business deduction.
